24. On his days off, he likes to go to the arcades to play with his friends. If someone challenges him at a video game he always rises to the challenge, as long as they don't get rowdy outside of the game.
25. The thing he cherishes the most is his miniature collection. He painstakingly built them all by hand, and painted each and every little detail of them. Although he stopped working on these, he holds them very dear.
26. He doesn't read the newspaper, but he gets his information online. He doesn't start in anywhere in particular, but he is very thorough in his knowledge of current events.

His brother is the one who helps him the most. Time after time, Jake is forced to do things with Ross, but each time they do, Jake learns something valuable from the experience.
30. Oddly enough, the people that get in Jake's way are his friends. His friends reinforce his negative lifestyle of inactivity and isolation, and it takes a long time for Jake to realize this.
31. Although Jake does not have an active life style, and is a bit of an isolationist, he does have goals and ambitions. What drives him through school is his dream of working for a big software development company. He wants to do this because it would get him away from his family, including his brother.
32. Jakes pet peeves are being bothered while he is in his room. It is the place where he feels safe and in a place where he can be who he his while he is around his family. Also, his brother can bully him a little, and he really gets irritated when his brother whacks him on the head or arms.
33.The character sees life very systematically. You are born, you grow up, you get a job, you get kids, and you die.
34.Jake sees himself as a regular guy with a regular annoying family, but he always sees himself as extraordinary, given how smart he is and how well he does in school.
35. At first, he doesn't have any real heroes. He doesn't extend his world beyond his gaming and reading universe(save for liking game and book characters). Later, he evolves to look up to his older brother.
36. Jake has never had a girl friend, but he has a crush on a girl at school in his programming class. Jake has never had the guts to ask her out, or even ask her to hang out with him. Her name is Sheryl.
37. He drives a used 99 Camry.
38. People who do not knew him very well see him as shy, a little weird, and a bit hard to approach. People who do know him see him as a loud and a little obnoxious
39. Despite being young, he is balding, has bad eyesight, and is quite intelligent for his age, making him able to outwit adults sometimes.
40. The audience can have a mixed reaction to the character. Some of the audience will sympathize with Jake, and others will not, depending on their own point of view on his lifestyle. They will remember him however, for his attitude, and how he changes himself through the course of the film.
41. The character is proud of his progress in college, and how good he is getting at video games.
42. The character is embarrassed about his looks, and his inability to ask out his crush.
43. The characters biggest thrill is on one of his adventures with his brother.
